Clodock Mill‎ > ‎

Visits

Clodock Mill is not normally open to the public but we are always happy to arrange visits for groups or interested individuals by appointment.

We usually open for the annual National Mills Weekend (2nd weekend in May) and this year we will also open for Heritage Open Days on Sunday 10th September from 2.00 - 5.00pm.

We try to operate the mill and produce flour during visits but this may not be possible if the river is low or if we have technical problems.

We do not charge for entry to the mill but you are asked to make a donation to Midlands Air Ambulance.

We do not sell flour to the public but, if you would like to try some, please take a bag and make a suitable contribution to Air Ambulance.

Clodock Mill is a historic listed building and is not run commercially.  For these reasons the provisions of Health and Safety at Work legislation that apply to industrial workplaces are neither appropriate nor achievable. Naturally we try to minimise risks of injury but there are possible hazards involving running water, unguarded moving machinery, slippery and uneven surfaces, low beams, etc.  If you visit the Mill please be very careful.  You are strongly advised to wear sensible footwear.  Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.

We do not have insurance for visitors.  You come entirely at your own risk!  We have never had an accident yet.  Let's keep it that way.
